FWIW - grid penalties aside, Valtteri Bottas and Nico Hulkenberg showed why they should be on the grid next year by putting two *****oxes into Q3. Meanwhile Lewis is out of Q1.

I'm also stunned that Renault...err....Alpine would drop the reincarnation of Ayrton Senna...the man...the myth...the legend....Esteban Ocon.

A good race to end a great season, so many subplots today. Too many last races, either with a team or with F1. Next year will be interesting. Will McLaren dominate? Will Red Bull rebound without Newey? Will Newey energize Aston Martin? How will HAM fare at Ferrari? How will SAI do at Williams? Will Ferrari regret letting SAI go? Answers to be provided on March 16.

Can’t wait!
