So I'm looking at my calendar...

because work is asking me to select my mandatory five consecutive days off vacation later this year. I notice that the EAA Airventure starts the Monday following the Brian Redman Historics (aka "The Hawk") at Road America. I'm thinking I may take the girls to Elkhart Lake for the weekend, spend a day or two exploring Door County, The USS Cobia in Manitowoc and the Green Bay Packer Museum then hit Oshkosh.

Just in case anyone else would be interested in the timing...

Seems like it used to be close to one of the CART Wisconsin dates. I always thought that would be a cool trip.

If you go, make sure you are in Elkhart Friday night for the parade into town.
