One of the usual suspects is doing his typical Forrest Bond wannabe schtick over on Track Forum. He's trying to imply that CART dredged up an old news story about Pacificare sponsorship for the Denver race purely to correspond with today's shareholder and BOD meetings.

The trouble is that the release didn't come from CART (note the Cypress, California dateline) and it's not simply a rehash of the earlier press release as Bond Jr. implies.
So where did it come from? It's not hard to figure out if you've got two firing neurons and enough gray matter to jump a spark between them. Or maybe if you're just not so steeped in the intellectual dishonesty of your agenda that you couldn't see the truth if it were tatooed on the backside of your eyelids.
This release was coordinated by The Denver Grand Prix and Pacificare. They've actually got this whacky notion that promoting the event and their sponsorship in advance might be a good idea. Especially with Bruno coming to Denver next week to promote the event and all.
Here's the Pacificare Release (http://finance.myway.com/jsp/nw/nwdt_ge.jsp?news_id=cmt-198p2022&feed=cmt&date=20030717).
