Slice it any way you want, this report is not good news, but mostly because it's worse than expected. The time is nigh for that walk-on-the-water guy/group to show up.

The yahoo! report mentions that they are in the process of changing the business model to allow them to continue.

Would it be possible for CART to show up at venues under contract with the Atlantics and say, this is our premier series now? That would allow the company to fulfill its obligations. It would suck for the fan but, is it an out for the company?

Wow! Now that would be a eyepopper to say the least. The media would have feeding frenzy over that. What current Champ Car drivers would drive? ;)

IMO it would be better if CART used lesser cars and kept the current schedule. I am not excited about an all city series. And as far as what the IRL-only fans think.......who cares?
