Let's see...if CART was SOOO bad in it's handling of what I still believe was a big guy caught with his hand in the cookie jar...just how mad should the big guy be now that his NEW mommy has taken the whole frikken' jar and given it to poor little brother? Or (and I believe he is REALLY good) is Sudden Sam THAT good!?

Sudden Sam appears to be the line in the sand. Where guys like Gordon and Stewart slipped away to NASCAR, it looks like the long arm of TG is holding an article of appeasement for Sam to keep him in house just as contract talks about his future have started....maybe his new name should be Sam the Sham.

Which begs the question why? He is a middling talent unknown by anyone outside of hardcore racing circles. The future of "Indy Style" racing?? :saywhat: More wishful thinking from the folks running the IRL. He'll take the big money to run midpack in NASCAR.

Not to mention the fact the guy has the personality of a piece of lawn furniture. He's a flat interview too.

It's almost impossible to determine his skill level since the league has been bolstering his career whenever possible. Last years "fixed" Richmond race adds to the debacles the earl has presented this year. If you don't think TG would go as far as fixing races, see this years IPS Freedom 100 at IMS.

Good points. The NASCAR fan doesn't care for the quite, "aw gee" type racer. They like the extroverts.
