In these two threads over at BeechlerForum, JoeBob wonrers if it is time to bring back 25/8 to prevent the NASCAR guys from coming in and cherry-picking the Marion County Fair 500.

Somebody labelled it a "reverse troll" :laugh: I've never heard that one before!!!

I guess I'm an innovator or something.

With all the wigging out going on over Hornish going to NASCAR and doing a one off at Indy, I thought I'd throw the idea out there.

They have no concept of how much damage 25/8 did to the 500.

"Marion County Fair 500" bwahahahahaha - that one will have a life

TF is in total meltdown stage now. Can't get the JJ Yeley's of the world to move 'up' to the irl and can't hold the few stars the series has created. If CART wasn't so inept over the past few years, Racin Gardner would still be in a car, along with Marco Greco and Eliseo Salazar.

Wouldn't they need 25 "regulars" to have 25/8 anyway?

Major, major understatement. And the damage still isn't repaired. How many of us will never, ever support the IRL because of that one rule?

It's all CART's fault. Their innept management is the reason Tony George has turned his back on every single thing he said the IRL stood for. Why can't you guys see that?

P.S. Marion County Fair 500, I like it. :) hehe
