This was the first round of our pub quiz tonight. nrc and I went with a few of my friends from work, and answered all but two of these correctly.

Name the car manufacturers. And no cheating. (That means you, Napoleon!) :p

Sorry bout the poor scan quality.

Manufacturers only, not years? Okay...

01 = Deusenberg
02 = Cadillac
03 = Corvette
04 = Buick
05 = Yugo
06 = Jaguar
07 = Mercedes Benz
08 = Porsche
09 = Maseratti
10 = Duh... a VW

I'm guessing I probably got 7 at best.

I'll go along with Lizzerd's, except I'm going to guess on a couple.

1) Bugatti
9) Rolls Royce

Um, Grrl, you were supposed to return that to the quiz master.

I'm making a phone call right now.... ;)

I will go with Lizzards guess, as modified by Chop, but changed as follows.

4 is not a Buick, its something goofy like a Daimler or Morris or some 30's British make

5 is a Ford

Ford Fiesta was my first impression, but the more I looked at it, the more it looked like a Yugo.

Chop I think the rear side window of the yugo was squarer, but the cars are so similar.

PS Chop, actually even if I thought it was a Yugo I was going to guess Fiat because the car really was an old Fiat design that Yugo bought. I was going to take the chance that it was a trick question and the picture really was of the original Fiat.

I don't think #5 is a Yugo....It looks more like a mid eighties Plymouth Horizon to me.

4 is a Citroen Traction Avant from the late 30s or 40s.

Rats, I almost originally stated that it was either a british or Citroen, since I knew they were a European maker that had that general style, like used by MG, Diamler and some others.

#5 is the Ford Fiesta.

So does that mean that collectively, after we corrected each other, we got the answers?

I didn't know Citroen ever made anything that big.

You do see the occasional 2CV out here - always good for a laugh.
