According to TF, there is a rumor that Arie Luyendyk, Jr. has now obtained funding to buy a ride in the IRL. Apparently, Foyt, Yakusawa, Renna, Carpenter, and Fisher don't supply the required amount of mediocrity. They're building a series primarily around guys who got their @sses handed to them in feeders...
In the interest of accuracy, I should point out that the faithful are all atwitter. Though most of the conversation centers around the kid's girlfriends.
The Faithful.. sooooo that's what TF stands for. :D
The more the merrier, hopefully the bumping will begin so IV will get off the track.

OUCH.
I suppose in the TF Fantasy League a no talent with a second gen name scores better than a no name Brazilian?

Arie jr will be big pub, but little else.
Get right down to it his dad wasn't much more than a matinee idol with a nack for getting around the old speedplant.
mediocrity
nepotism
furriners
Yep, the vision is progressing just as planned.

I saw the "second generation superstar" tag-line and thought it might have been somebody of importance...
...then I saw the name Luyendyk.

Arie Jr just flat out isn't qualified. I know a dozen guys no one on this board ever even heard of that are better them him.

There's a lot more talent at the front end of an FC field than ever strapped into an IPS car. What is Sr. thinking?
Is he even worth adding to the Futility Watch for next year?

I could name 12 people on these forums that could probably drive better than Arie Jr! The kid is a hack, just look at the 2001 Runoffs, FC race.

Exhibit "A" in my arguement.
Not to mention that he was a mid packer AT BEST in the FF2000 ranks.

This is exactly correct... saw him race FF2000 at the Glen... he was not fast... he did not win... simply, he did not impress.
Now a midpacker in the IPS... ugh!!
