Never saw it mentioned anywhere but Wednesdays paper had a blurb that Johnny Boyd passed away at 77 after a long illnes. He finished 3rd in the 1958 Indy 500.

Boyd was a pretty fair journeyman in a deadly era. He won a few races and suffered a few injuries.

A truely nice guy.

We screened the '55 and '66 Indy (his first and last) tapes last week in his honor as he was one to stop by and join us anytime he was in town.

I wish I could be down there for those screenings. It was a fascinating era.
