I dont think this has been asked yet so here goes: Who is everyone pulling for this year? I myself have always been a Team Rahal guy so I suppose Im on-board with Michel Jordain. I'll always root for Herta if he has a ride.

PT all the way. Carpentier too.
You can't go wrong with the ones that clearly made a choice on where they wanted to race this year.
Bruno, PT, Fernandez, and most likely Vasser could have all been going to the IRL this year and made a career decision for good or bad to stay with CART.
The ones that remain will allow the new guys to be judge while racing against a core group of established veterans so that you will be able to tell the real deal from the ride buyin' wanker.
So, hopefully the vet's will get their fair share of wins but, it will be nice if some of the new guys make us take notice.
For many years I've been rooting for almost everybody. Now that Ganassi and Mikey are gone, I can root for all the teams and all the drivers every race weekend.

#1. Tracy
#2. Vasser
I was hoping that Pantano thing would go through. Since it didn't, I'll root for PT and RHR and Jeemy.

Been a fan of Tracy's for way to long to quit now.
Been a Servia fan ever since the day he hip checked my boy Tracy at Surfer's.
Have always liked Vasser, now as he teams with Johansson I have an underdog worth cheering for.
I was hoping for Fogarty, but it sounds like Bourdais might get the job.
I'll instead be cheering for PT & Jeemy.

Vasser, Moreno, RHR
I think the "returning" teams are going to wipe the floor with the new teams for the first five races, so for those, I'd bet on PT, PC, AF, or BJ.

On another note I am not even what's up with the Pantano deal. His website (run by his management team) lists him as driving for BC next year...
Same as Warlock.
Now, that's frightening when I pause to think about it.
Nothing another beer won't cure, though.
Bruno (he could be the next one to go to F1)
Moreno (if the Herdez deal goes thgough)
I'll have to pull for Players now, specifically PT - he was one of the few who had the cajones to stand up to engine mfg's pressure and $$$$
How can you not like PT for the way he stood up for CART? I like the Player's team and Vasser too but I really don't have a favorite driver, I just like to see good racing. Anybody that's here, teams and drivers, stood up for CART and that's a big positive on my score sheet.

Ryan Hunter-Reay (first choice)

Always been a Team Players fan, Moore hooked me there, and I have always cheered for Paul Tracy, as a single driver. Needless to say this year is no contest who I will be cheering for.
PT, Vasser, Carp and Servia
I'd really like to see Servia rise to the top this year.
Geez, I've been a MA fan since the first MA retired. I hadn't given it much thought till now. Hmmm,
Vasser
Seriva
Moreno
maybe one of those new guys as the season progresses.

The winner of the 2002 Indy 500, Paul Tracy, and the strong, thinking driver, James Vasser.
There was a time when I followed Roger Penske's team, but those days are long gone.
I wouldn't watch Penske or his team if they ran in my back yard, donned bra and panties, set themselves on fire and ascended to the planet Goober.

Been a die-hard Tracy fan since '93, I'm not stopping now.
Also, there is just something about Stefan coming thorugh in the clutch...bringing the new team, signing JV and RHR.
Those are my two choices, they have all of my support this year.

After the CanadianRacing.com article, how can I not root for Paul tracy?
If Herta gets a second seat at Patrick, that'll make my choice easy. Otherwise, I'm a big fan of Pat, Bruno and Oriol.

I am with you Rabbitt, but there will be several others who are fun to watch!

How could I not be pulling for Tracy with the way he stuck up for CART. Additionally I think it would be good for the series for him to be the "star" during this phase of CART.
Also a tip of the hat to Vasser and Servia.
PATREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!! PT too.

Vasser, ASTJ : Small ego, big cajones
PT, Players : A loveable kind of psycho
RHR, ASTJ : New kid on the block

Awww, you know me. I like all those guys, newbies included. I think it is incredible the things they do! I like to tease my friends to the north about Tracy, and I have no particular interest in Tag or Carp, and I don't think Vasser is as good as most of you seem to think...but it's like watching football this season. The Bears were SO bad, but I sure enjoyed watching good football. Some GREAT games in the last few weeks. That's what I want to see in ChampCar this year, great races! I will NOT cheer against anyone or wish misfortune on anyone, but I'd love to see a Moreno victory, I'm interested in seeing how good this Bourdais guy is, if he races, and wouldn't it be nice to see Vasser win at Fontana?...because I think that's about the only place he can. I think Newman/Haas wins the title when Tracy proves again that he may be fastest but not bestest!
