View Full Version : Foyt Futility Watch 11/7 thru 11/9
All the relative dimensions in time and space have returned to normal after last weekend's anomaly where Larry actually qualified with a time in the top thirty-five.
Foyt Racing takes a provisional at Rockingham.
More Futility as it happens...
I loaded some numbers into the Cray supercomputer at the University of Illinois and was able to calculate that it will take 17 (16.9658743215987456 to be exact) yellow flags to give Larry enough Lucky Dog passes to allow him to finish on the lead lap.

Funny ****.
Did Nascab actually name that phoney free pass cornpone deal "Lucky Dog", or is that a concoction of the NBC goobers?

NBC. Had it been NASCAR, it would be referred to as the "Purina Lucky Dog"
The results are available and Larry ended up 28th, four laps down. The #14 car was apparently so slow that Tony Stewart could bounce off of it and still finish 9th and on the lead lap. Must have been a massé shot in Cup car billiards.

Larry was slow and couldn't keep his car in the bottom lane. He went straight up in front of the 20.
Gordon Johncock is still racing?
Ziggy
PS - Or you talking about Smoke, as in Peter?
Did either Larry or AJ IV finish on the lead lap this season?
Larry got waved in front of the pace car on the next to last yellow just last week.
AJ4 had trouble finishing period. I don't remember having to post that he finished on the lead lap all season. But I'm too lazy to check ;)
