daMatta's fast time in testing at Spring Training was actually a bit faster than his pole time, probably because of cooler conditions and the fact that he ended qualifying early with his big blowup, but the difference is still only about a second.

Yeah! Who were those "dumbed-down spec-engined Formula Super Ford" idiots, anyway? Want to put one of those CWs on a road course and make a running comparison? Interested to see how they'll do on ovals with reworked aeros.

Considering most teams are saying they were working on testing parts of the package, not the whole package, I think the times are pretty good. Paul Tracy mentioned that he was still coming to grips, excuse the pun, with the new engine.

Also, CART have mentioned different horse power, 700 I believe, for ovals. I think we'll see lower speeds on the ovals.
