Looks like a two barrel motor. I love this type of ebay ad. $130 bucks is cheap for complete 383. Guys honest, and someone will get a real nice dash, Jensen valve covers and assorted crap that is hard to find.

EBay should have a "Best of EBay" section to highlight some of these "Witty" sellers who make you just love to go there.

As a Youth, I remember the Jensen Interceptor as a highly Desirable Car, (probably because of its "cool" name). But we didn't have readily accessible follow up reports that told you how the cars faired on the road. So I always thought it was just fine.

I have Owned the following British Leyland Automobiles all in my teens & 20's ...

Triumph TR3 - used

Triumph TR4A - New (Dad's help)- Senior in HS - babe magnet :thumbsup: but alas it went through 2 clutch plates and I only made $28.00 ( Yup $1.75 an hour) a week part time as a Chefs helper in a Restaurant so it had to go

Triumph TR6 - 1972 - New - LOVED this car ... but I was 22 so as an impetuous youth, a Beautiful new 1974 Pontiac Grand Prix - White with red interior caught my eye so on a whim I traded the TR6 in.. Dumb Ass.. but the GP was a Showboat (with the emphasis on Boat). So it goes...

Triumph Spitfire 1976 new ( weekend car )

The TR6 is the only one that didn't drain my meager funds... All the rest fifty dollared me to death... The Spitfire dropped clutch pins like rabbits poop. Luckily I was pretty good at Car repair in those days. I remember a number of times being in traffic and the Carb's on the TR4A would clog up, and I'd have to Pop the hood and "Bleed" the carbs to get it started and going again! This was IN the road not on the side.

However I kept buying them because they were great cars to drive. True Sports cars and you could work on them, and It was fun to talk shop with the guys at the Dealer.

This was the days when Sports Car Drivers "Flashed" their lights when passing or Wave. Plus they created friendships buy comparing notes in parking lots


I'd LOVE to have any of them back now -- they exuded class and cool if not reliability! Plus I could afford it now

My first car was a Mini 850. Lasted about a month then I ran over a raised man-hole cover in my parent's new development and it ripped off the gearbox. Being a 16 year old working at McD's I had to get rid of it.

Second was a Honda 450 Nighthawk. Had that about a month also before I wiped out trying to race a friend. (for the record I was going north on Harwood Ave making a sweeping left around the Falby Ct apts when I ran out of talent.)

Third was a Renault Alliance. More reliable than anything made in Italy but that ain't saying much.

Then came a poo-brown K-Car that had only an AM radio.

Then I got a real job...

1986 Honda CRX tricked out for autocrossing. Bought it off of my former service manager at Pacific Acura. This thing could handle.

First Gen RX-7. Put on twin dellorto side drafts and had a racing beat exhaust manifold and pipe. What a rocketship. Well, until the rotors decided to divorce themselves...

Honda Accord. Nice. Dull, but nice.

Now I drive a fugging amazing Ford Escort. Talk about chick magnets. Just wait until I get those 18" bling-blings on it!
