Anybody have a good list of the chief engineers and race engineers for the 2004 teams, or know where to find one?
Thanks in advance!

Ask Wilke over @ CheeverForum. He's ALL OWRS, ALL the time. He'll not only be able to tell you who the engineers are, but also what their stock portfolios looks like and how much cash they have in their 401K's.

lol Hot Rod..
and seriously I don't think we know who all are the engineers etc yet.. since the teams haven't made official announcements yet except for a few and they haven't released this years lists of their crews to the public yet.. give it a few weeks..

The best advise I can give is the approach I would probably take. Go to cart.com and click on Teams. or this link (http://www.cart.com/Teams/TeamIndex.asp) and visit the team web sites and/or call them. Good luck!

Ank is a good engineer, he knows heaps about dozers :p  maybe he would do? ;)
You might want to try and get in touch with CAM (Championship Association of Mechanics) their website is http://www.racecrews.org but it doesn't look like it has been updated in a while.
They are (were?) the professional association for CART (and IRL) crew members.

quit knocking dozers unless you want me to get one of these... http://gabe.com/~gabe/muskie/D11.jpg
and doze you and your house over, and that ripper shank on the back end would do a decent job disembowling somebody i'd imagine ;) can't argue with 130,000 kilos of steel!

According to 7G's cover story, Mario Dominquez's new engineer @ Herdez is a guy named Mike Cannon.

SeaBass's chief engineer is Craig Hampson. Gibbons is the "chief engineer" I suppose you could say for all of NHR.
Tag's engineer is Brian Ma.
Ran into one of the NH crew chiefs at a local bookstore last Saturday. Both of us were browsing the motorsport & auto magazine section, so we ended up chatting a little racing for awhile....A sign of Spring
Ok RTKar, did you ask him if they were going to run a Crapwagon@Indy?

Yes I did, they have a car but there's a logistics conflict with the OWRS schedule. They don't feel like the drivers should be put into that much of a learning curve in that short of time. (eventhough Bruno's run their) They have enough crew to run the car but they'd probably hire a driver. Thing is, they need a sponsor. Suprisingly Lilly isn't that interested in the 497.5. They're into the international exposure.

That is interesting, especially with the recent release of Cialis, and with Indy being Lilly's headquarters. As much as I loathe the IRL, anyone can see that a one-off at Indy still gets media coverage and network time. Maybe Paul Newman nixed Lilly sponsorship?

As I recall, the original deal had Paul Newman either doing the voice overs or appearing as spokesperson for Cialis. And Paul Newman is more widely known than ANY IRL driver.

I think this P.L.N./Cialis pitchman deal is nothing but an urban myth.
Maybe I'm wrong, but has anybody ever seen anything about this from either party?

I probably should have posted this a few days before ...
I got the information I needed and got my guest speaker booked.
Thanks for the help, folks!
