I should know this, being an electronic geek and all, but I was surfing dishnetwork.com today and saw the place where they tell you how to upgrade your software for your receiver. Funny, I thought that it automatically upgraded you on a regular basis.

Has anyone done this before? Was it worth it, or should I leave well enough alone?

You can specify if you wanted to be notified before accepting a software upgrade. The trick is that you have to turn the receiver off before it will look to see if an upgrade is available. I never turn mine off unless I see at one of the satellite forums that a fix is available.

In my judgement it is a good thing to take the upgrades.
