View Full Version : NASCAB ratings soar...
Just read where Rockingham ratings were 6.3, double the King James NBA intro in NYC @ 3.2. I gotta think the 600 will kill Indy this year.

I'm glad to hear that, I bet Rockingham will have better ratings than that cookie cutter oval in Vegas. Let this be a sign to Champ Car that just because a track doesn't do well in attendence (Mid-Ohio) doesn't mean its not a valued asset to the series.

damn normal ratings for Rockingham, circa 6.5~ , It'll be a tough sell for NASCAR to increase their ratings this year!
Compared to the same period last year, the weather was not a significant factor this year. Last year much of the midwest and east were digging out after several snow storms from 2/14 through the end of February. Much of the east coast was literally trapped inside their homes. One would have thought that King James on ABC for the first time, and in NYC would have been stiffer competition, too.

Isn't 3.2 rather high for the NBA? I don't watch the NBA, but I hear it's in the ratings toilet.

IIRC, some 50% of NASCAR broadcasts had higher ratings than the irl 500.

(To the original thread): As someone once said, there's no accounting for taste. :shakehead
