CART races forward: Sponsors giving open-wheel race series another look
The era of “cars and stars” may be over for CART, but series officials aren’t ready to concede the race for open-wheel fans. “CART has just navigated through the perfect storm, and they’ve come through that,” said Mel Poole, president of SponsorLogic, a Charlotte, N.C.-based motorsports marketing consultancy. “I think there’s value in CART, no doubt about it."
