That's why I don't do the OC NASCAR fantasy league. I get enough NASCAR from the TV. I'm glad there isn't an IRL fantasy league, although a Sarah Futility watch would be entertaining.
Isn't NASCAB off this week?
Yeah, but we've got Fore! to watch this weekend! :gomer:

Isn't NASCAB off this week?
Yes, but Foyt allegedly has an IRL team.
9 Pit A.J. Foyt IV (14) 0.2472 24.9889 213.935
AJFore! is slowest in his group during afternoon practice, at least 3mph off the pace.
Stay tuned for more Futility as it happens.

Nice to see Sharp right where he belongs. :shakehead I wouldn't read a d@mn thing into this b/c Kanaan and Dixon won't be dead last tomorrow.
19 cars....I hope they added those extra pit stalls Fred was calling for.

I'm watching Fore! stay slowest after sixteen qualifiers. Will Ed Carpenter be able to challenge him for DFL?
Nope. Ed went faster. Must have an engine like the one he had for the Freedom 100. ;)
Wow!
Helio Castroneves takes a "wave off' to avoid the humiliation of being slower than a Foyt entry!
More to come...

Yep, armageddon avoided. Although Buddy Rice on top is something of a surprise.
Well, we can all rest easy now. ;)
Yah, F1nancyboypointycar aspirant Buddetto Risso on the pole.
It's ugly at the bottom:
17 Scott Sharp (8) 0.5338 25.1258 212.769 2 D/T/F Pit
18 Kosuke Matsuura (55) 0.5536 25.1456 212.602 2 G/H/F Pit
19 A.J. Foyt IV (14) 0.5790 25.1710 212.387 2 D/T/F Pit
Just how does a Foyt get out qualified by a rookie rice paddy short oval specialist?

Grandpa should kick him from the car, or IF he doesn't have one, get an engineer.
Uhhh, they have one. I spoke with him last week.

Foytility... I like that. Anybody remember a comic, Rich Hall was his name I think, who came up with words like that that he called Sniglets? Too funny, RT...
After 35 laps Fore! and Mr. Ed are fighting it out for DFL!
More futility updates coming soon!
Fore! avoids being DFL!
But only because 2003 IPS champ Mark Taylor hits the wall.
lap 130
Fore! last guy on the lead lap.

It's a good thing that I am getting ready to roast a chicken with oats and onions stuffing or I'd be napping on the couch...

Its not as bad as it looks. AJ4 parked it with 8 laps to go, two laps down, a lap behind Gweg Way.
Or in NASCAR speak, at press conference

An over 20% position inprovement over qualifying!
Double WOW!!
2 laps down? All they're doing is flooring it and steering a little.
Whatever.
Good thing the IRL was created to level the playing field (remember that rhetoric?) so that Penske can finish 1-2 and basically dominate races.
