Art was a very nice man who I enjoyed shooting with at various races through the years. He served as a go between many times with various tracks to ensure that the photographers had ample shooting locations that were safe for all involved. He will be missed.

I met Art at Cleveland several years ago and always went out of my way to say hi when I would see him again. A super nice guy. He will be missed. :(

That's a real bummer.... Art was a super guy. The last time I saw Art was at Indy a couple of years ago. I was talking to him and Floyd Ganassi, Sr. came up and snapped a picture of us with his point-n-shoot. If you want to see lots of Art's work, look at the Autocourse "CART Official History" book.
