Denver Comcast digital cable:
Speed = 85
Spike = 44
ESPN = 34
Moving down 41 slots from Speed to Spike. I doubt if most people ever find Speed while channel surfing.
In Vancouver
55 speed
32 spike
xx espn
23 channel difference
But Directv spike is 325 :)
and Speed was 607
282 channel increase

I really don't think it makes much difference. If anything people have been ignoring SpikeTV for the last year or two, since they haven't had anything on worth watching. I had to look up the channel number for it.

Spike is in the middle of the "regular" channels, ESPN is at the beginning of the regular channels, and Speed is up there with some channels that require really high-end packages to get (although Speed comes with all packages). I never did understand Speed's crappy channel on D*.

Another DiecTV guy here... I'm definitely encouraged by the fact that Spike seems to be located on a channel where there's a good chance a person may "stumble" upon a ChampCar race while surfing. That was literally impossible with DirecTV's placement of Speed.

Another DirectTV guy here. I'm glad that Champcar be on the same channel as Most Extreme Elimination Challenge. 325 will be my new center channel on the turbo-button list. :D

In Houston not only does Speed require you to subscribe to a digital package but you have to add the Fox Sports option on top of the digital service.
Speed cost me an extra 8 bucks a month. $ 96 a year.... :eek:

You're right. When we moved into our house 3 years ago I was worried that TWC would not carry Speed. The cable provider at the apartment we were in, Optel, had Speedvision in their basic package, non-digi.
Luckily TWC offered Speed when we moved in with one of the upgrade HBO packages. When I wanted OLN to watch the Tour de France they hit me with the $8 bucks a month extra. I thought I would just cancel OLN when the tour was over but not to be, OLN, Speed and others are part of the FOX upgrade. :flame: Just under $100 bucks a month for cable, not that any of this matters.

Ditto. They do have shows that appeal to people though. WWE, Star Trek, all those Car Shows. MXE, SlamBall, Joe Schmoe, 007 Movies, etc. And Danica is on some 60 second show I never catch. How about a 60 minute one?
Also of note. When I channel surf, I usually start at the highest channel and go down. :)

I thought Cox was a rip-off. Before, I had Adelphia and paid $103 for Standard Cable, All Digital Cable channels (including all Premiums) and High Speed Internet. It came with one digital receiver. Each additional one was $5 or $6 dollars. And for any desis out there, they had TV Asia and ZeeTV for $10 each per month.

I have high speed internet, digital cable value package plus the fox sports add on with 2 digital set top boxes. All total with taxes....$114 a month.
No premium movie channel included. No hbo, no showtime, no skinamax, no TMC.
I was a DirecTV and Dish Network subscriber in the past and even though cable is a bit more money, it is worth not having to put up with the poor service of the dishes. No rain fade, no generic weather.

OFF the AIR= 20 TV Azteca, this is the second channel feed for the Mexican TV. The main Channel is shown on Channel 11 which is the same feed as TV Azteca Americas for the US.
Speed TV is a premium digital upgrate, an additional $12.00 per month.
Fox Sports World en EspaƱol is included in the basic service.
This is a big improvement for those of us who refuse to pay premium service just to see one channel. (well maybe 2 Tech TV is nice too)
