I'd take Grand Prix over Lap of the Gods, myself...
Sure, it's racing footage, but (IIRC) you've got to sit through Eddie Cheever driving a turbo F1 car, in the wet, on a street circuit.
And why would any of y'all want to do that? ;) :p
I'd rather have In Car 956, just for the (IIRC again) sub seven minute lap of the Nurburgring...
I did pick up Racing Champions: The Quick and the Dead on DVD. No frills transfer, but an interesting flick.

Actually I would like GP over any other racing movie (since I already have Driven on DVD ;) )

It's too bad Le Mans is likely a no-frills transfer; I'd assume the outtakes and unused footage would be incredible, considering the amount of sheer footage they shot...

Yikes! This thing is already up to #18 in sales for Amazon! That's a bunch of frustrated motorheads.
Guess I get to retire the SVCD set I made from the widescreen Speedvision broadcast a few years back.
BTW, for my money this is the finest racing film ever made.
Grand Prix has some outstanding sequences, but unfortunately it's about 30 minutes buried in a 3 hour soap opera. It's pretty cavalier with the tech stuff, too, with shots switching from F1 to Formula Junior and back quicker than Tony George switches his 'visions'.

For $15, its still a heck of a deal. And, apparently, a few people agree. Its already up to #5 in DVD Sales Rankings!

just ordered. Still #2.
I just ordered mine - woohoo! Now if they just brought out Grand Prix..
As a kid, I remembered seeing this movie for the first time in 1971 in a small movie theatre in Redondo Beach.
And to think, I spent $42 on the VHS version of this movie about 7-8 years ago - THANK YOU SIR MAY I HAVE ANOTHER!!!
Anyway, I'm glad that it's finally on DVD and that it's doing well with sales..
