NEW YORK - Jessica Simpson (news) wants her money for splashing a New Jersey auto-racing company's logo across her chest. The Smoking Gun Web site reports "The Newlyweds" star agreed to wear a shirt by Motorock in the video for her song "With You" as a paid product placement negotiated last year by her New York marketing team.


Simpson shot the video and wore the shirt but says she never got paid. She is suing the company for breach of contract.

Simpson claims she's owed $140,000 for wearing the shirt and for agreeing to a performance at the Grand Prix of Puerto Rico, which ended up being canceled. The owner of the company Simpson is suing has declined comment, saying he hasn't seen the lawsuit.

She's actually suing a company called "4 Dog Productions" (Who were probably hired by Motorock)

The contract was signed by Mike Zaccaro, President of 4 Dog Productions.

It doesn't sound like any of the key players in OWRS are directly involved. (Although they might become involved.)

Speaking of Warrant, I came into work a couple of weeks ago and saw an autographed Warrant poster sitting on the front counter. Turns out one of the girls I work with rented a 12 passenger van to them. Funny thing was, she said "I hope you remember me when you're famous!" and the guy who she was talking to said "uh, we already were...remember Warrant?" I couldn't stop laughing after that.
