I contacted the owner of the RaceFanTV (http://www.geocities.com/racefantv/) site, who then contacted the TSN communcations officer.

Here is TSN reply ...

Question:
TSN originally scheduled the Champ Car race from Long Beach as a live broadcast at 4:00 pm EST. Now it has been moved to avoid a conflict with the hockey playoffs. If the game 6 hockey game on TSN is not needed, will TSN broadcast another hockey game or revert back to the Champ Car race.

Answer:
We should know by Saturday when we will be broadcasting the race - it hinges on an 'if necessary' NHL match-up.

Well, since Colorado is up 2 to 1, sorry Stars fans (if there really is such a thing :p) but if the Avs sweep, odds are the race will be shown at 4:00.

TSN can only show games that don't have a Canadian team in them. so hopefully, the Detroit game is at 1 pm edt.

Yup - I'm not sure which playoff game it would have been - but the only one tomorrow will be in the evening - GO SENS GO!! :D

Heads up to Canadians - 9 times out of 10 if TSN has it tape delayed, RDS (French TSN) will have it live... If TSN had shown the hockey game, RDS would have still shown the race.

My TV guide says Colorado and Dallas. My TV info screen says they are showing a hockey game Flyers at Devils. The Star says it is game 5 but the TV info guide says it is game 6. Did they play last night - is that series over? If it is, "great" is all I can say.

I just went to the TSN NHL site - there are no games at 4pm tomorrow since all of the series that would have played at 4pm are over. Halleluiah sinners. We get it live. Now, can they put a basketball game into the 4pm slot and still screw us? I sure hope not. But then it is TSN....... :rolleyes:
