I finally made it here! :) Now about that race!

Hi Everyone, it's a good thing I ran into the So. Cal. gang at the track on Friday! I"m HOME now! :)

So, I had to go to Vegas this weekend. I got to spend Friday at the track and then it was off to Vegas. (It's a long story!)

So, anyway, I was desperate to find out ANYTHING about the race and what was happening and I couldn't find a thing anywhere. NOT ANYWHERE.

If my friend hadn't called me and left a message with the grid on my cell, I wouldn't have even known the start order. I couldn't beleive it. I went to and called many, many, many casinos to see if they would show the race for me. None would. I went to the Palms, isn't that Paul Tracy's hangout (among others)? They said that they didn't have room to show it on their screens. (Basketball playoffs) No hotels even carry Spike TV on their Satellite feeds for bar viewing. I had to wait until the race was over and find a computer to find out the results. I don't get it. I was in Vegas for crying out loud! I should have been able to find out something about the race, right? So, the moral of this story is, don't go to Vegas and expect to find out about ChampCars on a race weekend.

I would if I had a laptop but I don't. I found a computer at the hotel and paid the $3.00 for 20 minutes of surf time to find out the results. But maybe you're right.....I need to invest in my own laptop before I spend another race weekend in Vegas. Best reason I could think of to spend the money! Thanks fourrunner! :D . It's REALLY REALLY REALLY great to be here. I was lost without you guys!

Welcome, RaceCat! It was delightful to see you at the track Friday. :) I should have given you my cell phone number, though. We could have all yelled "HI RACECAT" into the phone at the track, and brought you up to speed!

Considering that 3 Champ Car stars--including the race winner--are residents of Las Vegas, it's pretty ironic that you couldn't view the race anywhere in town!

I feel your pain...my wife and I were in Vegas over the Sebring/Malaysian GP weekend and couldn't find any casinos with SPEED channel except for the NASCAR Cafe in the Sahara...and even they put basketball on instead of Sebring!!!!!

I feel your pain on the Vegas deal; If the season finale' ends up there, I'd bet there may be a place to watch from (but if luck comes our way, we won't need anyplace but the track!).
