Drove by it yesterday.

It's still there, still hosting Richard Petty Driving Experience. No grandstands anymore, just the track.

With the amount of on-property transportation and lodging WDW has now, I seriously doubt they'll ever need that parking lot again for actual parking.

They used Temporary grandstands for the races there, so the only time there were ever stands were just before or just after a race.

A while ago, there was an article that said the deal Disney had with IMS was over, so IMS no longer has any association/track ownership. There was even some rumbles about CART looking at the track, but nothing ever came of it.
