Yesterday, my wife and I went to the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry. As we were deciding what exhibits we wanted to see, I noted that they had a spot on the map labled "Race Cars." Hmm...that raised an eyebrow.
Wife didn't have any interest, so while she went back for a second time to check out the Fairy Castle :D , I strolled down to the the exhibit which so caught my eye. Turns out, aside from a 1911 racer which was modified to resemble an Indy racer, the only two thoroughbread race cars they had on exhibit were both classic champ cars. One was Wally Dallenbach's 1972 Lola, the other Al Unser's 1978 Lola. Have to say, that brought a smile to my face. :cool:
