This is hilarious.

The 500's car count is so low that there is extra garage space for such things as a lunch room for IRL officials.

Which is why, when the announcement somes that they are moving to a field of 24, running the race on Monday night in the MNF slot, and reducing the month to "a week", it will be no surprise.

When people won;t come to see your product anymore - stick it in their faces - on a monday night.

I would bet ANY gomer - even the chief Gomer himself - that the I500 will NEVER sell out again.

Sure it'll sell out again. All TG has to do is remove about 40,000 seats, and he might sell out. :rolleyes: If he keeps that up every year, he'll likely sell out every year. It's simple math, keep squeezing the smaller crowds into smaller grandstands. :p

And think about it, it's an environmentally friendly plan too. Think about all the greenspace that will be reclaimed by taking out all those un-needed grandstands! :gomer:

When you back off and get the full picture, it's like a sadist taming a bunch of masochists. One big disfunctional aberrant family getting it on. A sickening private club that no cares about.

Leave ChampCar out of it, they have nothing to do with it now....

Naw, the Indy is big... in Toronto. They hold it in July and they race down at the X. :)

I wonder if they will keep the indycar race (shortened, of course) abd the ips race as support races for the May NASCAR date at IMS?
