What was mini-Al doing before? I believe he was racing karts some time ago, but that's all I remember.

911, Mini done the Formula Dodge West series last year, I believe.

“I'd like to come up the CART ladder system,” he said. “You know, the Barber Pro series next year, then Toyota Atlantic and hopefully Champ Cars.

“I want to road race because you can always go back to ovals.”

I can't believe how old I'm getting. I remember seeing a program on tv w/ Al & his dad. I believe this was back in 87 or 88. Anyway, they showed a picture of mini-Al racing karts. He was probably 5 years old. Now here he is racing BDPS.

I, too, liked his comment on road racing now because it's easier to go back to ovals!
