ChampCar Teams, did you see the F1 Race? Will the strategy work?

Everyone complains about how hard it is to pass because the cars are so close. Why don't any of you guys start out light. Have the weight advantage to either pass or pull away. You all need X number of green flag stops. Why not start light and pit as early as possible. You will get two advantages. The ability to run faster at the start when the cars are closer and you will be covered if the caution flag comes out. Someone please do it!

it would take fewer FCYs to make it work.

if the time made on light tanks kept getting taken away by the yellows it would be pointless.

but I would like to see someone try it

Most of the strategies suffer due to all the yellows. The rules makers need to come up with a way to reduce FCY's and make it so they don't determine a winner.
