I read this morning that the US Postal Service team's new sponsor next year (Discovery Channel) is estimated to be spending ~ $10 million per year starting in 2005.
For the huge amount of international exposure that Lance and the team create, that's a pretty low number if you think about what auto racing sponsors are throwing away at certain racing series lately, with much less exposure even in the US.
