I've gotta tell you - I'm amazed.
Pole for the Toyota Atlantic race at Milwaukee was 24.676 seconds.
Pole for the IPS race was 24.806 seconds, so they're .130 seconds slower at that track. Of course, second place was .3 behind the pole.
Here's the kicker: According to the Atlantics site, the cars have 240 horses in 1,265 pounds. Pounds per HP is 5.27.
According to the IPS website, the cars have 450 horses in 1,430 pounds. Pounds per HP is 3.18.
Incredible. I can't even begin to imagine how aeroed-down the IPS cars must be. They behave like they're pulling a plow.
And six of them STILL couldn't finish.
