Hm, Guy Smith has the Air Force sponsor on his car. Weird.

And Patreek has a new fire lit under his butt, go figure!

YAY RYAN!! :D

It was an absolutely gorgeous day at the track today. I also had a friend along today. I don't think I converted her into a fan, she did seem to enjoy herself for the most part.

Jimmy fails tech and the ROY battle continues.

Vasser ended the session in the fifth spot but would see his time taken off the board after his PKV Racing mount failed the post-qualifying technical inspection, moving Allmendinger into the top five. The closest pursuer to Allmendinger in the hunt for the Jim Trueman Rookie-of-the-Year story ended the day directly behind him as Justin Wilson (#34 Mi-Jack Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone) carded the sixth-best time of the session with an orbit at 1:45.034 (138.744 mph).

"Orbit?" Whoever is writing the session reports needs to put down the thesuraus and step away. It's a race session report, we don't need you to substitute "emerald banner" so you don't write "green flag" five times.

Instead maybe spend those extra syllables letting us know why Tracy ended up so far down the order.
