Sounds like Cleveland will be shown Sunday tape delay on CBS.:saywhat:
Brands gets a 1 hour "pre-race" show on CBS as well.

Montreal is tape delayed? Any idea why?

Looks like Montreal's getting tape delayed in favor of the ALMS show from Elkhart Lake.
I'll have the 2003 CART schedule for Outlook/PalmPilots out shortly.
Another interesting detail is that the Brands Hatch race takes place on Monday May 5th, but we won't get to see it on TV until Saturday May 10th (with the extended pre-race show.) The race from Germany will be shown the next day.
This schedule originally showed Cleveland and Montreal Live. Corrected now. Is someone looking over our shoulder?

The number of significant tape delays is disappointing. One of the benefits of SPEED should be getting these overseas events live on SPEED while the network coverage should feature American events for American audiences.
Obviously network commitments play into this, but having a "major event" like Monteral tape delayed 8 hours on SPEED is pretty sad.

I would have thought Long Beach for a newtwork t.v. spot. Guess not.

CART will have programming on TV opposite first and second day qualifying in Indianapolis. (Season Review/Preview & Brands Hatch on Saturday, and the race from Germany on Sunday.)
Coincidence? I think not.

They still have Brands as a same day tape delay. I guess in this day and age even they can't believe we would have a 5 day tape delay. :(
As much as it sucks for us, I can see how from an ROI perspective, having a race shown on Network TV on Saturday afternoon would be a lot better than having it shown on SPEED Monday morning.
(FWIW, the EA Supercross series has most of their shows on a 1 week tape delay, and that doesn't seem to have hurt their ratings significantly.)

Why is Milwaukee qualifying shown as tape-delayed?
I thought they were going to night qualifying - which, I think, would match the time slot they have for qualifying (9 EDT).
My 2 biggest problems with the TV schedule is a Cleveland Night race tape delayed and the Brands Hatch 5 day wait.

And, you know what? I really enjoy the CART.com TV/live timing and scoring broadcasts. Reminds me of the old days when I used to listen to Indy while washing and waxing my dad's car. Now, if I can just get the car into the kitchen where th ol' HP Pavilion is!

I create a CSV file you can import into your Palm Desktop Date Book or your Outlook calender.

I've outlooked all these - thanks rabbit for the heads-up.
I'm personally glad to see that awful "CART Friday Night" show has got the can. It was a lightweight fluffy piece that really did no good to CART IMO.
Any "quality" interviews etc, can now be used to replace those Toyota spotlights during race broadcasts.
I now stand by to be flamed by those who disagree or yearn to see a website owner masquerade as a tv reporter
