Tall, fit, nearly naked women jumping around, sweating, hugging each other and rolling on the ground combined with low camera angles makes for a fine show. I confess I also don't know who won in both the games I watched. Hell, I don't even know who the USA played against.

The trick is to arrive at the beach during the two weeks a year when it's warm enough to hang. Of course those are the same days you'll have to fight the black flies, chiggers, horseflies and skeeters for the prime spot.

While a Baywatch physique may be fun to watch, I must say that a large front, at least, gets rather in the way, in a lot of sports. :D Swimming - too much drag. Diving - ouch. Track events - you could put an eye out with one of these things!!! :p

I've been a beach volleyball fan almost as long as a Champ Car fan, and I'm really pleased to see my favorite womens team of McPeak and Young medal. Unfortunately, Sandra Piriz and Ana Paula from Brazil were having a bad week, as they are normally the better of the Brazilian women and I would have liked to see them in the semis at least. The result probably would have been the same, but it would have been a much closer match.

Since May and Walsh teamed up their record is the most dominating performance in any sport I can think of. The bad news for everyone else is that beach volleyball is a sport people are able to play at the top level into their early 40's due to the sand cushioning the shocks to the joints. Fact is, I can't recall ever seeing any players this young rise to the top before, so it's a new age for beach volleyball. Karch Kiraly is 44 and is still winning tournaments, and Sinjin Smith and and longtime womens champ Jackie Silva of Brasil were well into their 40's as well when they retired.

Well, yes..... :laugh:

No real surprise there is a Japanese company that commissioned videos and pictures of some of former Olympic gold medal Romanian gymnasts Lavinia Milosovici, Claudia Presacam and Corina Ungureanu doing gymnastic routines on and off various apparatus naked. :eek: Some excercises needed to be slowed down for saftey of course... Probably not practical for the Olympics where a sudden unexpected eccentric oscillation might spell disaster, but certainly in keeping with the tradition of the original games. ;)
