Is it just me or did it seem like shots of the (presumably) empty front stretch grandstands were fastidiously avoided? I remember watching the in car camera shots which were always suddenly switched off as soon as the car passed those grandstands. And I also remember how crowded the hillsides by the corkscrew and leading up to it used to be....no way to hide that in those shots. Sad.

I was sitting in a front straight grandstand, and it was packed! So chalk this omission up to the abysmal race coverage (at least I've heard it was abysmal, according to my friends who watched the broadcast).

The grandstands in Turn 4 were only half-full, though. :( Still, I thought attendance was up from last year.
