An inspired girlie photographer; a truly original cinema auteur.
Going to have a drink to his memory. Better yet, a pair.

I met him at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show in 1990, when I was working for a communications trade magazine.
While most of the other people at the show were talking to the adult film stars of the day like Barbara Dare, Porsche Lynn and the Hedgehog himself, Meyer was in a booth by himself selling videos of his movies.
I introduced myself and we chatted for nearly an hour on everything from the NFL to Edie Adams (his former wife), to his great movies (Faster *****cat, KILL, KILL!; Beneath the Valley of the Ultra Vixons and of course Beyond the Valley of the Dolls).
I told him my parents made the mistake of taking me to that movie when it first came out when I was 8-years-old. My mom thought is was a remake of "Valley of the Dolls." Of course, I was supposed to go to sleep in the back seat (we were at a drive-in), but I feigned sleep and watched the entire movie.
"Boy did they get their money's worth," Meyer said laughing.
RIP. As a previous poster said, I'm having a pair in memory of him.
