As a racefan, several thing occurred to me after reading the article.

1) Who put Max Mosely in charge at NASA? 36 years is a long time to be stuck at SR-71 speed levels. The surviving SR-71's are all currently in museums :shakehead
2) Why would anyone that was in San Francisco want to go to DC even if they could get there in 20 minutes? :confused:
3) If this were 7G we would see a thread indicating that race cars would someday be powered by scramjets. :gomer:
