Yep, there was a pounding alright, but it was the Buckeyes dishing it out. This just isn't the same Buckeye team that dropped four games earlier in the season. They thrashed the 'Boys with a one legged second string quarterback.

Is Ginn incredible or what? IMHO, he's better than Peter Warrick, Desmond Howard, The Rocket, etc. He's simply a game breaker in every respect.

However, I am glad this season is over so that ESPN can finally shut the heck up. :(

Tress calls the plays hisself. Go figger, as most of us were calling for the OC's head earlier in the season. The key was getting the WRs and OL to mature. Plus, when Smith took over the O opened up with some success. I would wager that OSU's group of Holmes, Gonzo, and Ginn rival any other WR core, including Meechigan. Man, ain't Nuge awesome? Losing him is gonna be t3h suck.

Good show, 'horns. Like I posted in another thread, I expected Young to be the difference, and he was that and more. Meechigan had troubles with mobile QBs against OSU and MSU. Also, as they did against ND, they had probs in the red zone, with 3 FGs instead of TDs.

I think he should've gone for it on the 1, the problem is they didn't run an option, c'mon, you have randall, run the damn option!!! didn't help that their kicker whiffed on a fg from the 5 yard line....

then there's the fact that randall TOTALLY overthrew a wide open man on a seam route in the end zone right in the zone's soft spot, couldn't have had a better spot to settle in that zone

then there's the drop by the fullback in the endzone on that 4th and goal from the 1 play

and then there's the plethora of drops from his WR's...

Wasn't putting the blame solely on Beamer. IMHO, @ 6-0 putting points on the board would have been the safe choice, and built confidence in the team. But hey, I'm a Tresselball disciple. :) The play call on 4th down was terrible. Sure the guy could have caught the ball, but he's an FB that got turned around by the throw. Nice try to break tendancy, but hardly a high percentage play.

Unfortunately I missed a sizeable chunk of the game (3rd Q), so I didn't get to see the Va Tech mishaps. By the time I tuned back in, the Hokies we're driving and missed the FG early in the 4th Q.
