The world of auto racing is becoming a very strange place.
Ferrari link in NASCAR (http://www.grandprix.com/ns/ns14060.html)
This doesn't make sense. Ferrari's customers are not really know to be tintop fans, and if they try to make a better, faster engine, NASCAR will just dumb it down for them.
No real advertising benefit, no chance for technological dominance (al la F1). Why would they do this?

Cool! I'll bet there is a big market for titanium pushrods. And in 07 NAPCAB is going to mandate beryllium rocker arms. What a stupid story.

Cosworth IIRC has been supplying engines for a few Ford teams for the last few years. This doesn't sound too different.

Bingo!
It's about the $... same as the Cossie deals.
A friend of mine stopped taking on military contract work in his machine shop to focus on NASCAR Busch work. The guy loves sports cars. Making this move helped him pay for a sweet looking Pantera. NA$CAR is a money trough.

Fiat is a perfect choice, as they've already perfected NASCAR-level technology.

Is Ferrari going to bypass the truck series? They'll be sorry. :p
