View Full Version : Cassio Cortes
Ok, try to follow me on this. Recently, the name "Cassio Cortes" has begun to appear on several SpeedTV.com bylines. So I did a Google search for Cassio Cortes to try to find out more about who "the new guy" was. I found this link (http://www.nydailynews.com/front/story/214643p-184763c.html) with this pic:

NYR was a student in New York, right? Back in the 7G days, he emailed me a few times about getting into journalism. I know some of you have met NYR. Is this him? Has our little NYR made it to the big-time?

Wasn't Cassio actively contributing to AR1 during NYR's incarceration?

(post before it get locked)
Could check the NY state records for registered offenders, right? Look for Cassio.

I miss the wee bugger. We had some good laughs at 7G and Champweb before it all went crazy. ;)

What exactly did this guy do?
I mean, was he worse than Silva?
Or that Franklin guy? (he was gone before I even arrived)

They were quite different, actually. NYR was usually a good laugh. Reading a post by Silva was about as pleasant as shoving things up under your fingernails.

Where's silva hangin' these days? Or has he disappeared?
silva was a true contrarian, while NYR was a youngster who enjoyed, what was it, Mettalica, p$rn and beer?

That isn't so bad. I have friends my age who do those things.
So what's the deal here? Did he post something crazy and get banned?

I myself do not know the specifics on any bans, but I do think his reputation precedes him.

Silva once told me I was the worst moderator of all time.
I took a little pride in that, sent a PM to wickerbill (7thGear days) IIRC.
I met NYC at Cleveland and then ran into him somewhere else (Belle Isle?), wacky kid.

At the risk of perpetuating what might be a vile calumny; there's an urban legend abroad that connects NYR to the the FBI's OPERATION CANDYMAN. That's all any of us really know, I think.

I propose from this point on, that NYR's 'real name' be known as Cassio Cortes. :)
