For those of you who don't know who Charles Lane is, he's one of the cinema's and television's most versatile character actors of all time.

Mr. Lane appeared in some great movies like "It's a Wonderful Life" and he was perhaps best known as Homer Bedloe in the old TV Series Petticoat Junction. He specialized in playing greedy, miser-like old geezers.

Funny thing is every time I see him I think Homer Bedloe. Poor guy did a ton of films and I can't get past Homer Bedloe.

For awhile I couldn't either. But he's been around for so long he did many, many movies (The Farmer's Daughter) and TV shows (Bewitched, The Beverly Hillbillies). I guess it was that look of his. Glasses, beady eyes, needle nose. Kinda like all the posters here! LOL ;)
