Ok, I figured it out. I thought I was doing it wrong.

Team Cornball, reporting in. I'm one of the six (so far) that are a week late and about 168 points short.
Is there a different deadline for choosing my eight man team versus picking the four I start with? The select feature isn't there for me to change the eight.

Is there a different deadline for choosing my eight man team versus picking the four I start with? The select feature isn't there for me to change the eight.
The deadline for picking the 8 drivers for this race was Fri Mar 18 5:00am EST. Unfortunately, this deadline has passed so you are stuck with your current picks for this week. You have until Mar 20 1:10pm EST to pick your 4 drivers for this race
If you go to your Fantasy Racing home page and click on the edit button next to 'My Team' you can check of a box that sends you an email reminder to pick your teams each week.
As dc explained, each week - prior to the start of the race weekend, you pick the 8 drivers who will be on your roster for the week. You get points if any of the drivers on your roster qualify in the top 5.
Of those 8 drivers, only 4 can score points for the race - you have until just before the race starts to decide which of those 4 will be your "starters" and thus score points for your team.
Each driver may only start 9 races for your team.
Thanks for the explaination.
Well, it is pretty much assured that I'll suck the rest of the season.
Why?
This week I had Edwards (1st), Johnson (2nd), Biffle (3rd), and Vickers (6th) all starting. I also got the 10 points for Ryan Newman winning the pole.
Its all downhill from here.

I'm 2nd, but I now have both the highest weekly score and the lowest weekly score among those actually trying - there might be one or two worse than my 163 point performance at Texas. What makes that performance honestly terrifying is that it included the race winner!

w00t, two weeks in a row I win. Only 10 points out of first now.
Anyone still paying attention to this?
Keep up that sort of math, and you'll never beat me, punk.
You're 110 points behind me. 3rd place is 1 point behind you. Plus, you've started Biffle 8 times.
None of my drivers have more than 4 starts. This is a marathon, not a sprint.

You're right, sir. Practically "killing" me with a 42 pt lead. Sure you missed the first race, but as defending champ, I thought you'd be WAAAYYYYY ahead of me at this point. I can't reach the top 5, but I'm looking pretty strong at 6th (spotting most the first week and having Kurt Busch at Phoenix).
If you factor in the first week's average, I could be fighting for 4th right now.
Either way, I still keep a 100% top 10 percentage :D
Hope you crack the top 10 Trish!

I haven't checked in on the racing league in weeks. I'll bet I'm way down the boards now. :gomer:
Wow! What a race! The finals aren't posted yet, but by my calculations, it was a heck of a finish.
I was in 3rd place, 190 points out of the lead going into Homestead. It looks like I'll be able to move into 2nd for the season - missing out on the Championship by only 50 points.
I had Casey Mears on my roster, but started Kyle Busch instead. Had I started Mears instead of Busch, I would have won the Championship.
Congrats to Jocko Flocko Racing. Heck of a season for ya!

I did manage to salvage a 6th place season even with missing the Daytona 500.
I shoulda called my team "Left it on the table" racing because I had the winners on my roster most every week, but had them on the bench far too often! :shakehead
Thanks for letting me play again, all.
manic
I had to make up alot of points in the last race for any chance of first, unfortunately you have to pick contrary to what you would normally pick, knowing the competition would pick the same drivers if they had them on their team...so I end up with Vickers who finished last when I could have had Mears and a couple of other back markers. Nascar is such a crap shoot, not to mention the restrictor races :shakehead ...probably why I'm not a fan.
