View Full Version : Fingerprints...who knew?
Apparently, there's only three types:

Approximately five percent of all fingerprints are Arches, 30% are Whorls and 65% are Loops. link (http://www.senseme.com/scripts/biometrics/fingerprints.htm)
I match that pretty good, except no arches. Anyway, that's your CSI lesson for the day.

Never spent the night in the drunk tank? ;)
On my left hand, I have one whirl, one loop and three arches. Apparently, each finger can a different type.
All arches on the right hand... :saywhat:

:saywhat:  I now have white pigment ink all over my fingers. Couldn't discern with the eyes worth a darn...
Following 'lock's example:
LH, thumb to little finger: whorl-loop-arch-loop-arch
RH, little finger to thumb:loop-loop-loop-arch-whorl

LH: thumb, index, middle, ring, pinky
RH: thumb, index, middle, ring, pinky
That's all I need to know. :D
LH, thumb to little finger: whorl-loop-arch-loop-arch
RH, little finger to thumb:loop-loop-loop-arch-whorl
Hey, cool...I just noticed that my thumbs and ring fingers 'match', and the others are all the opposite of each other...
:gomer: Yes, I'm avoiding work today.
