Western Carolina beat Elon who beat The Citadel who beat Appalachian St. who beat Furman who beat UNC Greensboro who beat Coastal Carolina who beat Winthrop who beat Austin Peay (deep breath) who beat Eastern Illinois who beat Evansville who beat Creighton who beat Ohio State who beat Illinois.

So there ya have it. The #1 team in all of college basketball.

While the #1 team in the nation is cut and dried (see above), figuring who the worst team is a little more difficult and subject to controversy.

One the one hand, there's Savannah St. who lost every game they played.

On the other hand, there's Howard who lost to Longwood who lost every other game they played.

The debate will go on until these two teams play.
