Winter Warlock!
1997 Milwaukee Thoughts
THE RACE: If Gateway was "Wow!", then Milwaukee was "Wow, Squared!" This had to be one of the best races ever held. I'm still catching my breath. The Unser-Carpentier side by side battle for three entire laps was mind boggling (can NASCAR guys even do that on a one-mile oval?). Then there was the Tracy-Moore side by side battle going on while Andretti was battling with someone else side by side at the same time. The director had no idea which one to follow. They should have just used a split screen.
Here's to hoping the Road course wings on the ovals brings this back!!! :) :)

NEW AWARDS: You will note in the sidebar, that we will be introducing three new awards for this season. The Shiggy Award will be given to the driver who bounces off the walls and/or has the most trouble keeping the car under him at the rate that would make Shigeaki Hattori proud. The King Hiro award is given to the driver who hangs around the back the most toodling around acting as the perfect moving chicane. Finally, the Gold Coyne award will be given to the driver who takes the best advantage of buying his ride. All are subjective awards, and if one is not warranted for that weekend, we will not award it.
Big congrats to Lavin (Shiggy winner) & Lemarie (King Hiro winner) on their first awards of the CART season.
