When I was a young bachelor I lived off of Oodles of Noodles (Raman). I didn't have any bowls so I ate out of the pan. Burned myself more than once. Buying TV dinners ate into my nightclub money.

I'd just as soon shoot myself or drink Drano. Quick dinners at home during the week aren't that hard

I don't know how to cook anything other than spaghetti so I often have those healthy meals that come in the green package....Can't think of the brand name right now but the one I usually get has steak and sauce and potatoes and green beans....good stuff at about 400 calories. The other meals seem too low calorie though and I don't want to be hungry after eating.

Healthy Choice?
Screw TV dinners. Kraft Dinner is where it's at baby! Get the water boiling and 10 minutes later... voila! Then look around what's in the fridge, cabinet, pantry etc... hot dogs, bacon bits, soy sauce. The possibilities are endless. A single man's gourmet dinner.

Some fried Spam would go good with the mac & cheese.
Not that I eat fried spam, because I don't.

straight sulfur, c'mon, natural elements are good for you :D
During my nearly 9 years of bachelorhood, age 18-27, I often leaned towards the quick to make dinners much like those on the list but grew tired of it. I slowly but surely started have rememberances of conversations with my mom on how to cook and started getting pretty good at it. So after about 3 or 4 years, if I wasn't dining out on whatever the bar was serving for happy hour, I indulged myself by cooking. That and White castles, Jack-in-the-box and Denny's.

Been watching 30 Minute Meals, eh? ;)
There are a ton of quickie recipes out there on the Internets, and with a lil' planning....voila!
As annoying as her laugh can be, this chick can cook:

nope (a lack of cable tv tends to do that), my family breeds 2 things, doctors and good cooks :p I am neither, but I do continue to make a concerted attempt at the latter :gomer:

You know, they make those things in cups, 2. ;) Ramen and some hot sauce were a staple in college. Pot pies were also cheap and easy, as was the K-R-A-F-T. :)

Healthy Choice?
That's the one...thanks.
John
I have Healthy Choice meals at least 4 nights a week. I don't eat a whole lot at one sitting, so they are enough food for me. I also fling a frozen pizza into the oven once in a while, and occasionally I'll have those not-so-healthy pot pies. My local Kroger doesn't carry Swanson's pot pies anymore (!!!), so I get a different brand, the name of which escapes me at the moment.
