Wallet leads to arrest of alleged Norwalk rapist
NORWALK -- A 30-year-old man who allegedly raped a woman at knife-point in La Mirada on Friday was arrested after leaving his wallet at the scene, a sheriff's detective said.
David Reese may be responsible for other attacks, said Detective Deborah Jaime of the sheriff's Norwalk Station.
Reese allegedly entered the woman's house through a sliding glass door shortly after 4 a.m., Jaime said.
Because he dropped his wallet at the crime scene, investigators were able to track him down at his Norwalk home in the 14000 block of Clarkdale Avenue, she said.
Jaime urged other women who may have been victimized by the suspect to call (562) 863-8711.
She described the suspect as 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
