What gives with C^RT?

I have noticed a few members spelling CART - C^RT. Is there some signifigance to this? Is there something wrong with the correct spelling?

CART's new logo uses an "A" that does not have the stroke that is in the middle of the tent like figure that you typically see in the Roman symbol for the letter "A" so that it looks like ^.

If that makes any sense. If you look at the new logo I think you will see what I mean.

Amen! I think it is people trying to replicate the logo. But, the name isn't "Championship ^uto Racing Teams."

I don't see them typing CNN as C|\|\| or NASA N^S^ or Walmart "WAL*MART," but for some reason, C^RT seems to be popular.

Personally, I find it annoying, but it seems I'm in the minority.

CART is indeed using that modified form of the 'A" this year. Must be poetic license or perhaps we payed an art school drop-out to come up with something 'special' and 'unique.'

BTW, I spell the name of that company MAL-WART.
I actually have a lettered tee shirt that says,
'Mal-Wart Your source for cheap plastic crap'

And to this I have added with fabic pen,
"We exploit labor and waste natural resources around the
world. But don't worry, we pass the savings on to you."

I like it.

But I just switched from @TARGET to Wal*Mart. :cry:

I warned them (@TARGET) if they went oval racing I was gone, HA HA they are hurting now aren't they! :mad:
