Didn't want the 4 pages of intellectual discussion on the A380 to get hijacked so I decided to start another thread. In that thread DM stated:
I might have something that beats it, mappy. C-130, pilot that a) just came back from a tour of delivering supplies to Sarajevo airport (during the sniper and missle season) and 2) wanted to see how many squids he could make sick.
Let's see the Hercules do this:

thats Fat Albert, the palne that carries the blue angles supplies, it did that take-off under rocket assisted boost, its just for show, it could not do that normally.
there is a shot somwhere of a C-130 taking off a carrier for some speical test though.

Looks like St. Maarten. My uncle is a regular visitor there, and sez the descent/ascent from the Phillpsburg airport is breathtaking. I've only been there via cruise, tho.

We've been over St. Maarten before - search for the Kai Tak thread. I think thats where the St. Maarten approach photos are too. :)
Embraer RJ-11's have a pretty decent power/weight, pilots usually like flying em

I saw the same at an air show two summers ago. Remember the thread about Blue Angels flying over my house? It's awesome and LOUD to see that up front at Show Center.
