The PGA which directly followed the IRL race garnered a 5.7 which supported my prediction that the IRL would benefit from a lead in. I predicted a 1.5, but with the + - a 1.8 is close.

That's with Andretti, Honda, Toyota, Penske, Gannassi...

One area where the IRL has definitely done a better job than CART has been scheduling to avoid NASCAR conflicts.

A 1.8 (if it holds up) would certainly be a positive for the series, but the first event of the year has historically been their best.
